Peggy Cler, a long-time massage therapist with Body Work Associates, will demonstrate chair massage and talk about massage and muscle and joint health. She will be happy to answer all your questions about how to maintaining good joint health as we ply our crafts.

Bring one of your favorite spinning, weaving or other crafting books (can even be a kid’s book) and tell us why you recommend it. We would love to hear about blogs, podcasts, or other informational sites as well.

This is a very important topic for all of us who hoard collect fiber, yarn, or fabric. Melissa Sotelo from Spurlock Museum will tell us more about how to protect our treasures.
March 12, 2024, 6:30: Silk Tour of Japan
Location: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2101 S Prospect Ave, Champaign
Guild members Esther and Beth Peregrine, who raise silk worms and work with silk fiber, took a tour of Japan which focused on silk. They will share photos and talk about all the different silk textiles they got to learn about.

Do you have yarn and fiber that you are never going to use but is still taking up space in your stash? Of course you do! This is a chance to move it from your stash to someone else’s. You can bring items to sell (can be anything fiber related) or give them away for free. Remember to bring cash in case you see something you can’t live without.
